Message from the Principal

Dear Stevenson Families,

Welcome back! I hope this finds you well and everyone is enjoying the summer break. We are now entering the last of the renovations. At times it has been very hectic and trying, but very exciting, knowing the end result. We thank you for your patience during the renovations during the past five years. The end is in sight and our new Performing Arts Center will be a welcomed addition when it opens in the fall. In 2015, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary and now, after all the renovations, Stevenson High School will be ready for another 50 years!

We look forward to carrying on Stevenson’s strong tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, extracurricular activities and community service that has been engrained in our school culture. Our guiding principle will continue to
focus on rigorous academics through a consistent and continuing school improvement effort. I look forward to working with all of our school community stakeholders in an effort to provide our students with a positive, comprehensive high school experience.

At Stevenson we share and embody our district’s school climate initiatives where students will experience a welcoming and safe learning environment, along with a talented staff, that is dedicated to providing the best educational experience possible. We aspire to create a school environment that represents a high character, effort, and perseverance. It is our hope for our students to extend themselves academically and socially, by not being afraid to get involved in our school’s many extracurricular activities and clubs. There are many opportunities for every student to feel part of Stevenson High

In closing, communication between school and home is essential to a student’s success. We continue to engage our mission in preparing students to be career and college ready. We look forward to another great school year at Stevenson.

Undoubtedly, the 2018-19 school year will be filled with excitement and new endeavors for the entire school community. Please feel free to contact your student’s teachers, counselors, assistant principal or myself with any questions you may have concerning your child’s educational experience at Stevenson.
