SIMUN 2023
In the final week of April, students in Stevenson's School of Global Education participated in SIMUN, Stevenson IntraMural United Nations.
GE senior Maggie Lesko explains it as such:
"SIMUN is a special time for Global Ed. This is the one time in the year when the entire department can get together and solve crises worldwide. The freshmen through juniors have a chance to represent a country and defend their positions, while the seniors have a leadership role in writing the scenarios and running the rooms. This year we solved issues ranging from a water crisis in South Africa to a food shortage in Nigeria to the Syrian Civil War.
There is no class that is equivalent to this opportunity Global Ed has given all of us, and I am forever grateful for the chance to be involved in this program.
